Manticores are bizarre mythological beasts. They have a man's face, a lions body and a scorpions tail and tend to prey upon humans.
History[]
In 2112 a lone manticore was seen in Djakarta where it killed at least four people. This was later revealed to be one of many psychic phenomena caused by the Deros.
Later on, the adventurer Devlin Waugh and his friend Jerry Biedekker encountered a Manticore when travelling through the Sahara Desert. The beast managed to kill a majority of his party before being killed itself by Deviln.
